As a child, I can still remember hearing March! That meant, I was about to get a spanking. Of course, today being sophisticated and wise, we are not allowed to spank our children. Ask yourself, how that’s turning out! When I grew older, I discovered a wedding march. How did that turn out? I hope, better for you than for me! Marches throughout my life continues.
I had to march while I served in the armed forces. For instance, at Fort Dix there were plenty of marches. One I remember particularly well, was walking 5 miles with a locker key shoved under my heel. I stuck it there, so nobody could steal from me while I was out of the barrack. The drill called for a continuous long march, and the drill sergeant refused to stop. That’s the way my whole life has been, until now. My bloody sock wherever it lays can verify my story.

March Minor a humorous modern jazz march featuring the piano. Written for jazz multi horn combos needing something straight-ahead but a trifle quirky.
